About Me

Originally from Las Vegas, I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering. In order to realize my dream, I had to actively apply for multiple scholarships, starting in my junior year of high school. My first scholarship award came from Nordstrom; I earned not only a 4-year award but also a Macbook. From there, I have been awarded multiple scholarships, both large and small. Some come from community organizations such as my involvement in Girl Scouts. Others have been based solely on academic standing. I truly believe that the only thing holding you back from earning scholarship monies is a lack of persistence in going out there and asking for it. Apply, apply, apply.

Additionally, through my internships and involvement in professional organizations, I have not only been awarded additional monies but also culminated a large breadth of knowledge in and outside of the classroom. I plan on becoming involved in undergraduate research and continuing my education in Aerospace Engineering upon graduation. I am intrigued by the work being done at companies like SpaceX and Virgin Galactic. I am always on the lookout for new scholarship, internship, and study opportunities.
